Liv’s childhood best friend, who she’s been inseparable from her entire childhood, moves out of state. She’s devastated and forced to move on with her life without “her everything.”

Luckily, she finds a new best friend, Brynn. These two have been best friends for so long, they decide to attend the same college as roommates.

After things don't turn out so well with a failed relationship, Liv chooses to forgo any romantic commitments. She’s in college after all, so why not enjoy being single and free?

Brynn, however is in a happy relationship and wants nothing more than for her best friend to be in one too. As much as she tries to play matchmaker, Liv refuses to be tied down. Unfortunately, when it's least expected, someone at school makes Liv’s world turn upside-down. As much as she doesn’t want him to affect her, he does.

To make matters worse, Brynn’s boyfriend knows more about Liv then he realizes and eventually he’s able to put the pieces of her past together.

When tragedy strikes, the past and the present collide, allowing secrets to come out and change everything.

Will friendships be torn and goodbye’s said or will they keep their promise and never say goodbye?

CAUTION ----- SPOILERS----

Overall I did like the book and the plot. I was debating if I should have given this book 3 or a 4 stars. First off. Thoughts the book started off super slow. The main plot didn't come into play until the last half of the book. It seems the first half was just filler and most unimportant to the main lot of the story. When Liv and Nathan finally meet up the book was almost finished and they barely interacted. When they finally do get do get together it is literally the last few pages of the book. Sure the author throws in an epilogue that shows the reader their wedding, but we didn't get to see how their relationship blossoms, their trials and tribulations. I wanted her and his b***** ex go toe to toe.

I did like that she became friends with benefits with Levi. Not because I wanted them to have a relationship. The author made it clear that Nathan would be the love interested. What I liked was that Lib had sexual needs and instead of not doing anything about it, she had something on the side. I am tired of all those books where they have the heroine pining away at a guy, saving herself, the guy being a man whore, and when they finally do get together he says something along the lines of that he is glad that he is the only one she's bee with because she is his.

I also found her BFF very annoying and wanted to smack her. She was way too pushy about Liv' s non existent love life. Although I did cry when she died from the car accident which made me feel bad about the way a perceived her, even if she is a fictional character.

The other thing I was not too fond of is that her parents revealed their lies to keep them apart on the day of Brynn' s funeral. It would have been better telling them at a different setting. Liv was not in the right emotional state to properly react to that news. I wish I would have seen more of an outburst from her. After all, the did lie to her this whole entire life, kept her away from Nathan, making Nathan hate her because of the lie, and because of this lie Brynn and Chad got into a fight, making her leave, and get into the car accident. I just thought her reaction to their confession was underwhelming and should have been in a different part of the book.

After all that, I am willing to read her other books. She really is a good author

Never Say Goodbye edition by T Renee Fike Kari Ayasha Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews

I did really enjoy reading never say goodbye. It was heartfelt, emotional, funny. I loved the story line and loved all characters. At times I wanted to slap Nathan in the face for being such an ass, but then when the truth came out it was a relief. I can not believe the big curve ball that happened I absolutely cried my eyes out, my heart was breaking (without giving too much away). All on the whole it was a nice book, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because there were times I felt it was a bit rushed and parts I thought dragged. I was dying to find out what would happen when certain characters first met again and felt like it took forever. But it was an easy read so I highly recommend it to anyone that's a sucker for second chances.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a fast moving book with an easy flow. I loved Liv and Brynn. They are the best of friends and always have each other's backs. I liked that the book followed all the things going on in Liv's life. It wasn't set primarily on girl goes to college meets old childhood friend sparks fly and then they consume each other and the rest of the story fades into nothingness. I feel completely satisfied with this book. The ending matched the rest of the book it didn't feel sudden. But I wouldn't have minded just a little bit more of Nathan and Liv/O. The chemistry between them was off the charts! Oh snap and let's not leave out the super steamy sex with Levi...HOT! I liked that all things worked out how they were supposed to. I do hate the super sadness that happened but it made the book been better.
Instead of being a romance like I wanted, it read like chick lit. I have no problem with that type of book but when something is labeled romance that is what I expect to read. I liked the hot sex scenes between the hero and heroine but they were limited because they did not spend much time together until 75 percent into the book. The heroine had more sex scenes with her boyfriend and then friend with benefits partner then the hero. With that said I gave the book an extra star based on the fact that the author did not do the stereotypical thing by having the hero sleep around during the break while the heroine pined and was not with anyone else. So while I wanted the main character tears to be with each other a lot more I appreciate that the author treated the characters fairly. Also I enjoyed the fact that the hero was jealous and possessive. Also I liked that the book had a HEA ending.
Never Say Goodbye is a good read. It's not a good read if you are looking for a romance though.

This book is about the love between her two childhood best friends. One who obviously ends up being the love of her life and the other, her "sister".

Her best friend, brynn, seemed a little tacky to me. Always pressuring for partying and sex. She's definitely not the type of girl I'd want my daughter influenced by. Loyal? .....Yes... But no. Not that I think you should ditch your boyfriend due to your friend but her boyfriend was rude and arrogant, but he loved her...
Nathan was mentioned but never really became an actual something to her until after 60% of the book! I would have liked to see him more.

The one thing that stood out way more than anything was how often someone's name was mentioned. This was a big problem in the beginning. In every sentence, in a two person conversation, the names were said. Fortunately it was toned down some towards the end.

Would I recommend? Possibly but probably not.
Would I read again? Definitely not, unless a edited version came out. Why would I recommend something I wouldn't read through again?
